Default Panic , anxiety

Hi , I have had severe panic and anxiety for many many years (Im 52).
Couldnt drive on highways , take planes etc. I never thought i would
ever get relief. Went to therapy etc , no help. then one day I decided
maybe i was depressed. I was precribed 20 mg prozac , and all of a
sudden like magic , no more panic ! It really was like magic. A few
weeks later i was still feeling a little depressed so i uped the dose
to 40 mg a day. No more panic or anxiety. I dont feel crazy like
before , I have more energy and get stuff done and I have freedon top
go places i couldnt before , like driving on highways. I am just
amazed and sorry i suffered so many years before discovering this . I
also discovered i have type 2 diabetes and have gotten that under
control as well which i thing also has contributed to my well being.
Im not so concerned if i have to be on prozac for the rest of my life
, it works amazing. My theory is that something happened to my brain
when taking so much lsd in the 70's and for whatever reason , the
prozac repairs the problem. I hope it can help others , thanx

I am glad that you feel better now. SSRI:s can do wonders, I know that
from personal experience.
