| | | Seroquel for sleep Has anyone taken this for sleep? I took 25 mg's and slept for 14 hours. Only
side effects noted were a dry throat and mouth upon awakening. My pdoc
prescribed it only for those restless nights when I can not sleep. I may
take it perhaps twice a month. What are your thoughts on this med? Has
anyone been on it long-term? I know it is often prescribed for bi-polar..

I take it for sleep and b/c I am bi-polar. I used to rely 100% on Xanax for
sleep and now I take Seroquel and a bit of Trazedone at night before bed.
It works perfectly.

Maybe cut the pill in half and try that. Maybe you body does not need
that much of this drug. |

in those dosage strengths. 25 milligrams help me to sleep but leaves me with
a nasty dry throat and mouth.

Does it seem to ease the anxiety? Can you distinguish the difference
between anxiety and paranoia? It wasn't easy for me.
For me it only helps with paranoia and general schizo symptoms, doesn't
do a thing for anxiety and panic attacks. I take 600mg each night.

member with some issues (my nephew). i know i can google it...but if
you can give me firsthand info...i would appreciate it.
i know, i know...mom always loved you more! <wahhhh>

Carl,
I've taken 12.5 mg on some nights for sleep. Works wonders, but leaves
me really hungry , and I need to lose some weight, so watch out for
snacking before bedtime.
It would work for anxiety during the day, but leave me too sleepy.
I have yet to find anything as effective for anxiety as any benzo,
especially Clonazepam (Klonopin), though i may be forced to get off
all and any pills soon.
No idea what I will do then.
Give Seroquel a try, but watch for weight gain, and try not to take
every day if possible. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
