What A Holistic Doctor Said About Anxiety Attacks

My friend Kathy, who went to Harvard University, introduced me to her
roommate Sarah, who was a medical student at Harvard Medical School
and is now practicing as a holistic doctor. She wrote her thesis on
holistic methods to treat anxiety. I thought it was a great
opportunity to talk to her and I was right. She is very knowledgeable
in her field.

Sarah told me how anxiety attacks choose no one, how it can happen to
happy and perfectly normal people of all ages, including children.
Apparently many cases of anxiety attacks occur out of the blue, and
happen without any clear reason. She said that though it may seem
hopeless, however there are still some holistic methods that you and I
can do starting now to decrease the chances of having an anxiety
attacks.

1. Avoid unnecessary stress: learn to say no to invitations as well as
overtimes when you have things more important things to attend to like
family and children.

2. Become more assertive: people with anxiety disorder tend to have
low self-esteem. Learn to become assertive may involve standing up to
your boss, entering into group sessions, or simply learning to open up
to others. Whatever you are comfortable with.

3. Learning more about anxiety: a good understanding of how anxiety
affects the body as well as the mind can go a long way in preventing
it. Reading texts like this one helps you to learn about the various
holistic methods available. I personally have a blog packed full of
information on dealing with anxieties.

As Sarah have said, few people realizes the holistic methods
available, or that they exists at all. To help spread the information
on the various holistic methods available, I have created a blog full
of information that I have found helpful on relieving anxieties. I
hope that by reading it you will be able to find relief for your
anxieties. You can check it out at http://anxietyholistic.blogspot.com/
