the celebrations now for a good week! lol One more lunch out tomorrow
with my bible study gals and then I will have wrapped it up! Hey, a
few more wrinkles and a few more gray hairs added to the mix, got

And a good day it is too Diane. Right after St. Patrick's day, chocolate out
for easter usually, spring break here from school almost always so when it
was birthday time it was usually a break from school.

Got my card today too Jo - it was lovely. All those springtime flowers
which are just starting to tip out of the ground today. My landscaper
arrived again today and worked once again on the hard landscaping so I can
again begin to plant some of my plants from my pots. Many friends holding
plants for me too so looking forward to planting those. We are still
getting the just freezing mark weather at night but fine for the trees,
shrubs and perennials. So nice to start from scratch. The front is shaping
up exactly as I figured.

And an honour to share it with you too Diane!

It was a good one, even though most of the world forgot about it. But
it's OK, as I'm used to it.

I went ice skating for the first time in 8 years. It was a really good
feeling as I was remembering my birthday 3 years ago when I wasn't sure
if I'd be alive at this point. So I said a prayer for my cardiologist
when I stepped onto the ice. I was stiff at first, but I guess it's
true that we have muscle memory. After my first couple of times around
the rink, I started to get back into the rhythm and my legs and feet
didn't feel like blocks of cement anymore.

We have a community skate on Mondays and Thursday afternoons and it's
only $2, so I'm going to be going again. It starts at 2:45 and the first
half hour to forty five minutes of the session is empty as the kids are
not home from school yet. So it's good for people like me ) Now I
just have to find a good place to get my blades sharpened in the area,
and I'll be all set

Happy Belated Birthday.. I am so glad you are skating.. roller skating is
something I loved to do.
I am guessing that you live in a climate where ice skating is a long winter
activity. We just have indoor ice skating here and that includes in the
winter..it doesn't get cold enough to freeze through ponds.
