costocervical: pertaining to the ribs and the neck
costochondral: pertaining to the ribs and its cartilage
costochondritis: inflammation of costochondral joints of the chest,
which can cause pain. the pain of costochondritis can sometimes be
distinguished from other, more serious forms of chest pain by its
reproduction on palpation of the involved joints and the absense of
abnormalties on chest x-ray examinations, electrocardiograms, and blood
tests.
SYMPTOMS: Symptoms include pain and tenderness over the
joints lateral to the sternum.
TREATMENT: Use of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent
often helps reduce the discomfort which
normally resolves spontaneously over time.

costocoracoid: pertaining to the ribs and coracoid process of the
scapula
costophrenic: pertaining to the ribs and diaphragm
