I am really worried and wondered if anyone has heard from her. Left
messages on her cell and emailed her (I know she has her new toy.) Don't
have her home phone number (must be unlisted - couldn't find it in the
online phone book). Will send off a card tomorrow to see if that gets an
answer - if the card can get to the states quickly - that is always the
question.
I was away for the weekend and scanned messages - people take care - no more
falls (funny as the emails were) and Gwen so sorry to hear all the
problems - hopefully this is on the upswing of life.
I await my prescription for
rituxan and have the $8,000 in hand to pay for
it (thank goodness for the sale of the house and overdraft insurance!) -
should get the first infusion the first week of March when my infusion nurse
gets back from her wedding. Little apprehensive but it will be my med - I
am following you Donna! The post from the guy from Scotland was promising
until my family started giving me a bad time about turning into a big boil.
Brats.
As an aside my trip with the "girls" (son's wife and other son's girlfriend)
to Disneyland is a go unless the infusion makes me really sick. Not sure
how I will manage but I do have a scooter rented and delivered to the hotel
and am going to load up on
prednisone. Have a motel right across from the
gate so should be okay to go back and forth for rests and naps if needed.
Hopefully everything they say about lineups and scooters is true. I really
could use all the energy I can get. Looking forward to this - have told my
mom I am not going to be the only 50 year old that hasn't been (she took my
sister when she was 21 and my sons but didn't take me!) Anyhow i will be
there for my 49th birthday so will be a special treat (and I intend to have
a great dinner that night too - any suggestions on great restaurants nearby
will be greatly appreciated. We can always take a cab! Jess isn't a spicy
eater so Mexican is out but steak house might be the answer! (If only my
meds would support a drink but water might have to do.) One day will be
spent shopping - Ross's etc. - you know the discount type places and of
course a quilt shop for yet more fabric ( a birthday present to myself).
Anyhow any ideas on Diane I would appreciate. Will send a card tomorrow. I
hate this silence as she has been having such a tough time. Have I said
lately I hate this disease and what it does to people sometimes??
