One of the girls on our boards heard from her last nite - she's home and
doing better, but very tired. Hopefully she'll continue to improve and will
be up to posting again soon.

Hey Gang,
I'm home! Got home later last night/
Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Thanks so much for all of your prayers, well wishes, phone calls, etc.
They truly meant the world to me and they are what kept me going through
all of this.
I'm doing so much better, but still have a little ways to go.
Doctors think this latest flare was a combination of the heat/humidity
which was pretty outrageous those few days before I went in, and they
also think there was some type of infection brewing. My white count was
definitely increased, but couldn't find the source of it. *
pcp thinks it was an early pneumonia or something similar brewing.
Who knows.
So, did lots and lots of IV steroids, IV and oral antibiotics for a few
days, and then stopped the antibiotics. *
Went through 2-3 days of the doctors standing over my bed threatening to
intubate me and put me on the ventilator. I finally told them all to get
out of my room, as they were stressing me out too much.
Had to have about 5-6 ABG's done which is never fun, but could have been
so much worse.
Anyways, all tuned up and back home and now working on getting that all
important rest and starting the long process of tapering the steroids.
They sent me home this time around on 60 mg twice a day because the
flare was so bad. * That's a whole lot of steroids!!! *
Can we say wired!!! ROFL!!!
Will be laying low for the next few days and just trying to rest and get
my strength back a bit.
Still ornery as ever, though!!! LOL!!!
Hope each of you is doing well and that you have something fun planned
for the holiday!
BTW, guess what, some wonderful friends of mine called me while I was up
in the hospital. * They went out shopping and bought me a brand new HD
TV with a dvd player! * Can you believe that? I am so overwhelmed by
their extreme generosity!!! * They will deliver it and hook it all up
thurs or friday sometime!
Yikes, how do you ever thank some one enough for a most generous gift
like that?!!! *
I truly am overwhelmed!
Blessings to you all and may you all have a most enjoyable, safe, and
healthy holiday!!!
Hugs,
Donna

:::::I can recommend Blockbuster Online Video rental. Any movies you can
imagine, Very quick turn around time.::::I have the 10 a month plan where
you get one movie at a time, they you return it in its mailer and they send
you another one. I mailed one yesterday. Its replacement would be here
tomorrow if it wasn't a holiday.
Plus one a month you get a coupon for a free movie or game rental at their
store. And if you really don't mind driving around, instead of mailing
back the movie you can take it to their store and trade it for something
they have in stock. Of course that one you will have to take back to the
store. Anyway for ten bucks a month I usually have two movies and a video
game for Ryan here.

Great to hear that you are better and at home ....
But let me see...
Rest and Steroids...Is that a Oxymorone?????LOL
I have to agree with Jo on the Blockbuster thing...
We had it, but found that during the summer..We just didn't use it...But
definitely will reup during the fall and winter months...They send the
movies right away...and yes you can return it to the store for a new
one...For the price you can't beat it...More than pays for itself...
I guess the way you repay friends for the blessings they bestow on us...is
kind of like in that movie..."Pay it Forward" I think that is the name of
it...and then There is that one thing that I really do believe in...
What goes round comes round...And if you are recieving alot of
blessings...Well you must be a blessing to others...
Lots of hugs and prayers

very glad the weather didn't affect you the way it affected some of my

As for the TV - well, a special person like you deserves to have very special
