I have thought of her - the ms can cause depression, losing a partner
definitely and the constant change of the disease too. It is good she
didn't lose the theatre too. That would have been so tough. My son is head
fly (in charge of all curtains I gather - I just smile and nod) for the
operatic society's Music Man performance this week and the week past. Then I
think he is an assistant stage manager for a one act opera. when he gets
into his theatre stuff and the enthusiasm and the comradarie I always think
of your sister and how lucky she is to have that passion - we all need
passion. Glad she is doing fairly well.
With luck that
neurontin will work as well for you as Gloria and for me as
well for that matter. I miss a dose and I sure know it. It isn't a gold
bullet but another important one.
Hang in there - and by the way loved your manipulation of the picture.
Isn't technology wonderful sometimes? I am fiddling around right now with
some pictures of a friend's son, his life and our life together (he is like
another son to me and a cousin to my kids.) He graduates this year and I am
making him a photo quilt with pictures of his life transferred onto fabric
and inserted into the quilt in stars. Will show a picture when done. It is
so much fun and just starting to come together. His life revolves around
theatre, improv, and stage management. This is the kind of quilt that
inspires me - something really personal that I know will be treasured
forever. This is the kind of kid that will know what I have put into this
and it will be his treasure. That makes it easy to create for - even when
it hurts sometimes.
Hang in there and don't worry about that neurontin - it will be worth it if
it improves on the sleep issues. Start slow and find the dose you will need
(I like the idea of starting it in the evenings early personally and then it
has worn off by morning. It may take a few weeks to get over the drowsiness
but it does come for most people.)
Take care Diane,
Kelly
