A little catch up

Hi All,,,,, Sorry I have not been around much.... I have switched back and
forth with an old XP comp and a new Win7 computer. Plus the worst virus
set up and con game you ever saw.
If while you are at any site and a program hops in with a free scan
to find a problem you have,,,,,, hit the red x in the right top of your
screen quickly. What it is actually doing is installing viruses and
trojensss on your computer. Every time you turn off your computer,,,, you
lose the ability to do or use something on your computer until nothing
works.
They do offer to sell you a computer program that will fix the 18 viruses
and 4 Trojan that infest your computer. Their fix does work most of the
time because I paid the price on my wife's computer and it did fix the mess
THEY gave you. Grrrrrr.
I had a lower scope done the day before yesterday which is about as
bad a 30 as a person can have,,,, only cancer is worse and a person has the
scan to keep from letting cancer get out of hand. I am going to have the
upper done in a couple of week. All this because I have lost so much
muscle mass and weight in a couple of month that no one can explain.

ps Staples cleaned my computer for $140,,,, the price at Office Depot is
$160 and Best Buy is $200 all for guarantttteeed work. I got the same
virus and Trojans doing a search on Google search,,,, so you can get it
anywhere they have infected.

My PCP just sent me to another doc for an upper scope. The last one
was 10-1/2 years ago. The initial appointment is the 23rd. I imagine
he'll write a 'script for that foul tasting "clean-you-out" that I'll
be adding some JELL-O to. <G>

AND the good news is that you do not drink any goop on an upper scan.
You just can not eat after Midnight buttt they are going to knock you out
anyway..... and I have to put up with my wife's driving,,,,, again. LOLOL

If I remember correctly, I had a lower one done five years ago and the
"goop" wasn't bad. They had improved it immensely. I think it was just
a small bottle of liquid that I put in water or juice. My diet was
limited for a couple of days before. This year he had me do the stool
test, even though I was due for a colonoscopy. They said there was no
blood in the stool so I am good until next year. It was kind of funny
because he said that where he got his money was from these types of
exams, but he didn't think I needed one this year. That's the kind of
doctor I like - he doesn't automatically do procedures. My odds are a
bit higher than others. My mother had colon cancer in a couple of
polyps, but it was still encapsulated, so hadn't spread yet. They took
that section of the bowel out, sewed the bowel back together and no
chemo or radiation. She was glad as she had to go through the radiation
with her breast cancer. She is 93 and still going strong.

Yes, I agree, the "goop" I had last time was much improved. What
killed me was not being able to take my prescription NSAID for 3 days
before and after.

I definitely agree with that being the worst part even with all the
"improvements". One thing my Mom hates to see on anything she buys is
"improved". LOL

For Windows 7 (and XP IIRC) Microsoft provides free Microsoft Security
Essentials - it's an antivirus/antimalware program that does as well as
the pay for (and free versions) of popular security programs. I've
trialled it andwould have been impressed if it wasn't something they
should have been doing in the first place :-/ Also, avoid Internet
Explorer as your browser - there are better, more secure, alternatives
available like Opera, Firefox, Chrome, and even Safari.

Sorry to hear about the weight loss and having to have another scope :-(

Thanks for your info and thoughts..... My weight loss ended up being a
good thing and changing some things in the way I take medicine has saved me
from stomach troubles.
I have learned to appreciate Microsoft defender and using a 64 bit program
as far as keeping me machine clean and trouble free. The secret to make it
all work is to down load the 32 bit explorer program which works fine along
side the 64 bit Explorer program. That does not read well but I hope you
understand what I am trying to say.
