OTP - Economic Stimulus Payments

Has anyone on SSDI gotten their payments? According to the schedule, I
was supposed to get mine by 5/16 (I filled out the form and put my bank
info so they could direct deposit), and I got nada, bupkas, nothing. I
was hoping to get it on time so I could get this dumb wisdom tooth removed.

Haven't gotten mine yet. According to their most recent schedule, I'm
not due to get mine until the end of june. I filed my income taxes the
beginnig of february, and even though I did direct deposit, I had H & R
Block take the fees out of my refund. Because I had them take the fees
out, mine went from being due mid may to now the end of june.

Nope. Not holding my breath as we're dealing with the...(whisper)... government.

We did ours through H&R Block as well, but we paid all the fees upfront. So
we got our check (Thank Goodness!!) on Friday. We always use direct deposit
for taxes - it comes back much faster than through the mail. We, too, will
be using a goodly chunk of ours for dental work. We both have teeth waiting
to be fixed. The dentist needs a new car, you see.

DeeTee, I don't know if my dentists need new cars, but I'm have roots taken
out next week (tooth has had a root canal and a bridge previously!) and it
is only going to cost me $600. However., the tooth that still has part of
the cut- off bridge on it will cost $700 to get a new crown. I'm going to
let this stay on as long as it will.

I don't suppose I'll get my check though until after I file my tax return.
Got an extension and still haven't filed!

Yeah, I always do direct deposit as well, it really is much much
quicker. This year was the first year I didn't pay the cost of getting
my taxes done up front===just didn't have the money. If I had payed up
front as I usually do, my check would have been sent out on may 9th. Oh
well, now I wait until late june, but either way, the money just goes
towards bills, so guess it really doesn't matter.

I got mine last week...direct deposited into my account...but I did have
more income last year than my SSDI so I don't know if that made a
difference. Bought a new laptop so I did my part in stimulating the
economy!!!

Carole...Me too... Was suppose to get mine on Fri...Even got a letter from
them saying so yesterday...So I don't understand...

the distribution and timing is based upon the last numbers of your social
security number. the smaller your last four digits the faster the check is
cut and sent. ie., if your last four digits were 0001, you'd be among the
first to get yours; 9999 would be among the last. mine hasn't arrived yet,
either.

I filled in the tax form with my direct deposit info, so my money should
have been sent on 5/16. I'm a 98 (figures, right? :-)) I was hoping it
would get here by now, but still nada. I wonder if those of us on social
security are going to get checks and they are not doing direct deposit
since we didn't file taxes, just for the stimulus payment.

I'm a 29 and mine got deposited on the 16th as promised.
Not that three hundred dollars is going to change anyone's life.
My oldest daughter is an 01 - got hers in the first batch.

ummm . . . the list of stimulus payment recipients is based upon the list of
those who did file taxes for the year. one doesn't necessarily have to
owe/pay taxes, but one must file taxes to receive it. i use direct deposit,
too. i'm an 85. so, it will be awhile, yet.

Well, as long as it gets here before I go to NYC in October. When I hit
goal weight, I've promised myself a leather jacket. I also clipped a
coupon for Wilson's at the Seattle Outlets, and they have a 10% day off
for those over 50, so I figured that's the day I would go )
