Default otp - ok you palmone e-2 users--HELP!

LOL!

i just bought one of these palm ones (tungsten/e2) today. i kinda
accidentally downloaded "the last of the mohicans" and some star trek novel,
when i thought i was downloading a program/application that would let me
download books. i know this has a little memory in it, factory memory and
not the expansion thingy. anyway, now my icon filled desktop page thingy,
in this sucker can't be located. did that get erased to make room for the
for the books i didn't want but got anyway? no matter what thing i tap on or
how many times i tap on the little house, down at the bottom of the screen,
i can't find the icon page and seem to have lost a lot of applications, cuz
the only one listed under applications is ereader, when i get to a list of
stuff this is supposed to do. i wish this thing came with an instruction
manual, for dummies like me.LOL i sat through both the quick intro and the
tutorial, but no help there.

I have a Palm Treo cell phone. If your Palm works like mine, you should be
able to do a soft reboot by removing then reinstalling the battery, or a
hard reboot by pressing a tiny button on the back (inside the battery
compartment) with the tip of a paper clip.

Look up in the top right and make sure you've got "All" categories selected.

You can also tap the menu option (the button below the house) and select
"delete" and deletes some of the stuff you don't want.

***it really was as simple as that!LOL thank you, baxter! it's all back
where it should be again.

You can also tap the menu option (the button below the house) and select

***so, i can just delete the downloads without worrying about dlls and such?

If they show up separately in the list, you can delete them without
affecting anything else. Every Palm program has a unique ID (developers
register the application at Palm), and deleting that program deletes any
supporting files that have the same ID.

If they don't show up in the list (some data files won't), you may need a
little program named "Filez" which will let you delete anything - and can
get you into trouble.

Palm is very good, however, about making things easy for the user and as
self-healing as possible.

***ok. i think i get that. so if it is a separate item, it's ok to delete
it. got it. thank you.

***LOL! uh, baxter, you don't know who you are talking to.LOL the word to
use is not "can" get into trouble, but "will" get into trouble.LOL but
thanks for the heads-up, to avoid getting "filez".<smile>

Palm is very good, however, about making things easy for the user and as
self-healing as possible.

***also good to know, cuz i'm one of those techies (Ha! totally clueless),
computer destroyers. thank you, baxter.
