Default OTP: Pray for my son

Hello all .. I wanted to ask everyone to keep my son in your prayers
tomorrow as he undergoes surgery to fix his ACL. I am sad because this is
his second knee surgery in 5 years. He is an athelete and as of tomorrow
each knee will have been operated on. He will miss this football season and
it is driving him crazy! So please say a prayer for him!

Yes, I will and I will pray that more important things in his life become
apparent to him. I know football is important to him now. I have a few
friends that have limped and stayed out of other sports like golf because
they could only use what was left over from operations on knees, hips and
shoulders. I will pray for peace of mind and new purpose.

Will pray now as I don't know when he will be going in today. God bless
him. Can you let us know his name?

Prayers on the way. Its usually a very successful surgery.

I've paid out of pocket for ACL surgery a dozen times. (Sorry for the
comparison, but we had poodles and 'football knee' is very common for
them)

At least he has Tiger Woods for company. I think this is his fourth
knee surgery.

My middle grandson had really bad luck. When he first started soccer
at probably six, he was all excited and ran out to start his first
practice. Took a roll on the grass and cracked his collar bone.

Now this kid is an excellent athlete. Went out for football later and
did very well through the junior leagues. His first game of his
freshman year, within the first five minutes of the game, he was
carrying the ball and clipped from behind. Broke the other side of
his collar bone and never played again.

Oy, He is in my prayers. Knees are tricky jionts. I just heard this
morning that he's in good company - Tiger Woods is taking the rest of the
season off for mjor knee work.

As Harv said, I will also pray for peace of mind and new purpose. Will also
pray for successful surgery and rapid healing.

All went well for Christian.. found out though that his meniscus was torn as
well. Dang.. They sent us home with three machines one to flex the knee then
a cold wrap machine then a tens unit.. I am thanking God that we have
insurance now. All I saw was dollar signs each time they brought in a
machine.
He has future hopes of becoming a computer programmer.. so he will probably
hang up his cleats his senior year.. it will be up to him.
Thank you for all of your prayers and love.

How wonderful. So glad to hear it's over except for the recovery. Hang in

I got here late, but I am so happy to hear the surgery is over and was
successful. I bet you are hoping that he really means to hang up his
cleats.

I know I am late on this but I have been praying and was glad to see your
son Christian had made it thru ok.

Yeah it does help so much with insurance doesn't it. You can't survive these
days without it.

Still praying for a speedy healing and a good outcome.
