It was out patient so after 3 hours of surgery and 1.5 or so of wake up
time, we are home.

Discovered they wanted him to sleep in a recliner which is fine but sure
wish they has told us that before as he could have help rearrange the
living room furniture. Luckily Jen was able to do a quick drive by after
school and help push and shove things around for us.

Still hot as hell here and I am now sitting down with my feet up. He is
up at the table doing exercises and I have medicated him for the first
time. They gave him a block and it is slowly wearing off.

Tell all on ASA I will check in later but tell them for me*he seems
fine.

Thanks, Donna
Two of my three have been out-patient. My DIL stayed at my house with me
and she kept feeding me pain pills so I slept most of the time for a few
days!

Glad to hear he is doing well

And it's hot as hell here too (at least by WA standards )

I am exhausted but still living. rofl... He is doing better and is
managing to spread his pain meds half hour further apart which is good.
Saw the doctor today and he removed the outter banadages. He is now down
to a few pieces of gauze and stitches. The good news is that the doctor
was able to do the whole thing arthospoc.... [you spell that word] so
that there are only a couple tiny holes. Got the pics today as well, and
the rotator cuff was torn nearly completely --can't imagine how he was
using the arm at all. Dr. showed us the bone spurs which were to blaim
probably for sawing the tendon in half and those are now gone. And he
also did something called a mumford?? procedure which has something to
do with the collar bone. All is healing nicely.

I could not have done this without Home Instead helping me. They are
coming everyday for about three hours and doing laundry, trash,
dishwasher, changing beds, and loads of the like. The best thing is that
they are helping carry in the ice and any groceries I get everyday.
Going to work tomorrow and they will be here feeding him and handling
his ice.

Anyway, what I need most is sleep which I am missing due to getting up
around
3 am to give him a pill and tweek his ice. Four hours later I am up and
doing it again.

Tell the crowd, I am hanging in there.

Oh Duckie sounds like she is having some good help and that she is doing a
good job of taking care of him. I hope he heals quickly and that all goes
well for all of them during this time.

Thanks again Donna for updating us.
