Has anyone heard of Wal-Mart's or Burger King's discount.

Most I know about is the Golden Arches' "senior coffee."

.... I'm spending a year dead for tax purposes.

Burger King used to give seniors a 10% discount if you asked for it. They
stopped- at least here in my small town- a few years ago. I never heard of
WalMart's discount other than some prescription program they have???

Leslie- hooked on BK's frozen cokes

Lots of stores have discounts. Often they have signs, especially near
the customer service area. If you don't see one, ask. I to to Ross as
on Tuesdays you get 10% off if you are over 55. Then you can go to
Denny's or Shari's for lunch and they have a senior menu which is less
food and costs less )

In Canada I believe Burger King gives seniors free coffee, and I know that
McDonalds Have what they call a Senior's coffee which has some pennies off.

My dad called those his "senility discounts". Mike's found the Arches have a
senior drink as well as coffee. Wendy's has free coffee for seniors, but
it's lousy coffee. Meanwhile, we've found that usually if Mike orders first,
we both get senility pricing for our drinks, despite me just ordering a
small. So now he always orders first. Though I now qualify for AARP, I come
from young looking family so Mike will probably get those suspicious or
admiring (depending on gender!) looks for a few years to come though the age
difference is actually only 12 years.

But watching a movie last night, I felt old remembering the introduction of
home electric typewriters. College after the onset of PA would have been
much gentler on me if computers had been affordable then!
