Default otp: this weekend & a couple of updates

Dear Folks,

First an update: My middle son has entered an apprenticeship to
become a plumber! He's thrilled and I'm happy to have him working.
While this is not my first choice for my son, I am happy to see him
planning beyond today! (g)

Second: My husband, daughter, and I went to visit the eldest son who
is in college this weekend in Abilene, TX. On Saturday, we got
caught in a dust storm. It was the worse in local memory. The wind
went to 53 mph for one hour. We saw a stop sign bend double and break
in the wind. The sky and air around us turned brown. The light from
the sun was blue. When a car turned in front of us, the little glare
you get from the sun was blue regardless of the color of the car. But
all cars quickly turned brown. The particles stung when they hit the
skin.

I've never been in a duststorm but it was definitely something to
remember.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Last: Thank you for your prayers for my son! Tymon is well!
Yippee! He had NO cough, No congestion, and ate well! (Previously I
had requested prayers for him with a chronic sinus problem.)

Vickie B.

Wow, after reading that I know I never want to be in one. Sounds nasty.

Good for him. The need to stand on ones own two feet with the world is
strong.

That Dust blew itself all the way to OK...Our winds blew anywhere from 40 to
60 mph and were sustained at 38 to 40...
The sky was brown or should I say Red...But luckily...The Larger particles
must have fallen to the ground before it reached us...
I live in the City, but I am sure out West it was much worse...I know that
Northwest OK had winds around 70 mph...
Glad to hear good things about ALL your Boys...

Vicky,

good to hear how your sons are doing.

not so good about the dust storm you ran into though. Yeah I had heard from
someone in Texas about the dust storm and the 90 mph winds. It sounds
terrible.

I will keep Tymon in my prayers still that he has no more problems with
chronic sinus problems.
