New research has shown that men who use painkillers often have greater

Maybe the pain causes the elevation in blood pressure and not the pain meds?

No kidding. I don't know how many times my doctor has looked at my BP
reading, noted it is higher than normal, and said, "you are really hurting
today aren't you"

Or some variation thereof.

Ditto. I wondered about this too, as it would seem to be the other way
around. I thought most everyone knew by now that pain elevates BP, not the
pain meds. Nanny
