I just heard the weather for your area, and it's terrible, more rain and wind.
It must be affecting Carole and others in Washington state as well. I'm not
going to complain about the rain we are having here now, It's nothing compared
to what you folks in the 'northwest' are getting.

May all your joint pains disappear.

Last night was VERY windy and rainy, but we didn't get hit like Seattle
did. One woman died when flash floods hit her basement apartment and she
couldn't get out. Others have died when trees fell on their car. I was
up most of the night as I couldn't sleep with the noise of the wind, but
that's nothing compared to all the people who are without power today. I
only hope they get everyone up and running today.

Hi Joan,
Power just came on and this is a bonus. It went out at 11:30 last night and
wasn't suppose to be on until tomorrow morning. It is now 9:30 and I have
all the heat on in the house. I took my in-laws out for dinner (they are 86
& 91 and living on their own in a house with a large dog and really should
be in a home but.....) and got warm again. Am waiting for the hot water
tank to warm up and then am having a hot shower and cuddling up in bed.

The weather is incredible but the worst is it is starting to get cold again.
They are calling for wet snow by tomorrow morning which means the power will
once again probably go off again tomorrow. At least the wind has died down
and hopefully will stay died down. This is getting old fast - we normally
get mild but rainy and some wind. Never 2 snow storms.

Oh well - hopefully you are doing okay Carole! I know my brother in Seattle
got hit really hard last night. Not sure how badly you were hit.

Off to sit by the propane fireplace. Thanks for the concern Joan -weird
weather year. Rose was getting lots of snow last night. She called and we
had a chat - was nice.

It was great talking to you, and I invited all of us over for a
cyber-party.

We had a good 8 inches yesterday, although it seemed like much more.
Today we probably got the same amount. I can not believe how much snow
there is! It is almost impossible for us gimpies (not wimpies) to get
around!
Sister#1 is not able to get out at all as a result of her stiff knee.
Sister#2 has a cane, but gets short of breath and so walking through
the deep snow makes it very difficult. And me, well...it's suffice it
to say, it's difficult.
I want all the snow gone! LOL

Praying for all of you and those affected by the storms...
I would just like to say...if you could...Just say a chant or something and
send some of that wetness this way....
It just keeps forgetting to rain here...We did have that big winter storm a
few weeks ago which was really strange for OK to get a storm like that
especially this early...but now we could use some old fashioned rain...We
are use to wind.....Happens almost daily...LOL...so don't worry about
sending that along with the rain...
As long as it is straight line winds we do pretty well...it is those that
are going round and round that really make the mess...

Seriously...Praying for you all. I know that they said after the storms...it
will be cold and that is going to be a problem since alot of people are
without power...
Stay warm and pain free....
