I see the 'update on my father' thread, but nothing else from you until this
post.

If it's still in your 'sent' folder, could you repost it?

Is it the one labelled just "update"? That is showing for me - I deleted
your earlier one as this one has more detail. Hugs to all your family.

I read this first "i just got a call from my bil".

Then another about Butch being there, but I can't find it this morning.
It's like it has been removed.

i've been at my sister's with my father since a little after 6 this
morning. don't have the energy to update better. just back, i was too
wiped out (my bod's screaming at me, everything hurts.) to stay any
longer--simply have to rest. if he leaves us tonight, i'm afraid i won't be
there. my father is pretty much unresponsive now, except for lifting his
eyebrows (not his eyelids) and there is that phlegmy rattle in his very
labored breathing.

would somebody please re-post the 5 responses to last night's post for me?
i'd like to be able to read them tomorrow. thank you. i'm sorry. i don't
know how last night's update post disappeared.

Rose, I submitted 2 answers to your posts on your Dad, and this is my 3rd.
I hope someone has sent you the responses, or that they have appeared on
your screen by now. They also taught us in Hospice training classes that
the phlegmy rattle (sometimes referred to as the death rattle) is usually
not as uncomfortable to the patient as it sounds to others around him/her,
IF Hospice is providing him enough pain medication to keep him comfortable.
The instructor explained that the rattle is in fact phlegm that is stored in
that area when the patient either can't swallow anymore or has difficulty
swallowing. Nanny

Okay, I figured out what happened. The update post showed up mixed in with
an update from Diane about a month ago. At least on Comcast's reader.

I found it, and I am so sorry about this rapid decline.

Biggest hugs,
Kelly C.
