Default Question re: Daypro (oxaprozin)

I am 59 in pretty good shape and exercise quite a bit. I have the
usual arthritic pains but sometimes they can be very problematic. My
brother has Psoriatic Arthritis which I don't have.

I had been taking Naprosyn (200 mg. bid) and that was helpful and
didn't kill my stomach.

I had mentioned this arthritic pain to my Internist while getting my
complete physical recently. He said that he would prescribe a med
based upon the results of my blood tests. When the blood tests came
back he prescribed oxaprozin and said his decision was based upon some
blood enzyme.

Has anyone had experience with this medication?

Thanks,

Sy

oxaprozin, aka 'daypro alta' aka 'oxaprozin potassium'

http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/oxaproz_ids.htm

you might want to a look at the cautions section - some of the potential
side effects are worth be aware of.

note that with this drug, side effects don't always show up right away -
intestinal can take some time, skin rash, or photo sensitivity also.
