Default The weather!

Hi Gang,

Well, the weather is supposed to get quite nasty --- very cold, very
windy, and a bit of snow (8-10 inches predicted here).

I think of all of those in NY you really really don't need any more
snow, and I just pray that they don't get hit at all.

Sending prayers to all of you, where ever you are, that the weather is
kind to you all and that everyone stays safe, dry, and warm!!!

Blessings!!!

I'm in Central Ohio and last night it started about 2am, by 8am we had
4-5" already. It's 3pm now, we're having a mild ice storm on top of the
snow still falling. Hubby was sent home early because of a Level 2 snow
alert. He went out and shoveled the driveway and he said there was
close to a foot of snow already.

I'm bundled up with my wool blanket named Asia the husky and keeping
mildly warm for the moment.

Well wishes for all who's going to be hit with this nasty storm.

dustings..but its been bitterly cold on and off..today was pretty
bad...but on a few days we had a wind chill of -25...
long ago and far away i lived in upstate new york..(buffalo and
rochester)...YIKES...those poor people in the oswego area..i remember
snow like that..especially in buffalo...and it starts so early..like
october..and ends so late..like may...(it always snowed on my
girlfriend's b day which was may 13)..

Hi Annie,

I'm in Ann Arbor, Michigan. About an 45 minutes from the Ohio /
Michigan line. Trust me, the storm is on its way!

The snow didn't start here until about 2:30 this afternoon and it has
been snowing quite hard ever since. It is a very fine snow so it is
hard to see much of anything, but we already have several inches on the
ground. If it continues like it is right now, we will definitely hit
the 10 inch mark with no problem. Temperatures have also dropped
significantly this afternoon and the winds are around the 25-30 mph mark
which makes the snow worse with all of the blowing and such.

I just pray we don't get down to the temps we had for the last 2 weeks
which were the subzero temps and windchills in the -20 to -25. Way too
nasty and very hard on the ole joints as well.

Can't complain too much though, especially after hearing about NY.
Yikes, I bet they are just dreading hearing of more snow coming!

Its enough though. Pretty to look at if you don't have to be out in it.

I'm supposed to leave thurs morning to fly to miami to sail out friday
morning on a cruise. My first cruise ever! Sure hope the weather
doesn't cause any problems for our trip!

Hang on to your hats everyone and stay safe, warm, and healthy!!!

Oh, Donna! I hope you get to make that cruise! How wonderful to escape that
horrible weather.

I hope you have a marvelous time!

Hey, Annie;

Our lives seemed to have paralleled. I'm in Chelmsford now (about 30 miles
nw of Boston). Went to SUNYBuffalo from 78-83. My husband is from Henrietta,
a suburb of Rochester; MIL still lives there. Have several friends still
living in Ro-cha-cha (one went to SUNYOswego!!). Now, if you have also lived
in Baltimore......

We may have not gotten a lot of snow on the Boston area, but its been
miserable most of the afternoon with tiny ice pellets falling and pretty
windy. Not quite sleet/not quite snow. Really biting when it hits the skin -
or so says hubby who did the snow blowing. I've been inside cleaning and
working on a costume for my son for a school project. Given I don't sew, it
must be an amusing sight.

yeah, this is another one of those strange storms that hit the southern
midwest harder than the upper. Still, we ended up getting more up here than
predicted. The big problem with that wass that both of us drove into Alpena
to do stuff and the snow hit *then*. Driving around town, then back home was
rough. Just my luck to get stuck behind a white SUV whose taillights were
out! I wass thinking unkind thoughts about him not having his lights on,
until I finally got arouund him at a passing lane and discovered his
headlights *were* on, just no taillights.

It's been brutal, hasn't it? The irony is I have a friend from high school
who now lives in Alaska (interior). He says it's been so mild there it's
been hard to train for the Artic Man competition! Of course, we had no snow
anywhere last month when we wanted to snowshoe at Tahquamenon Falls - they
have snow now, but we can't get away.

That will be wonderful. I hope it's as great a tonic for you as it sounds.
There's nothing like a warm relaxing trip with people you love. I am so glad
you've been able to recover enough to go.
