Default feeling festive but stuck in !!

hello everyone,
just a quick update!
today is 3 weeks post op on my free tram surgery.
new breast looks amazing, very comfortable (suprisingly), keeping it hoisted
up and secure, though feeling like a trust up chicken !!
Incision on tummy looking great, though I have swelling, so its not flat
yet.
Am doing a little housework then resting.Going for short walks, but its
difficult as its so cold and icy.
best wishes to you all.
Kathleen

Don't overdo the housework, it's dangerous and can be habit-forming!

Keep healing though, and updating.

Hugs

Mary

Kathy,
You're such an encouragement to me....I just wished we lived closer. My
expander is in and I can feel it and it feels so odd now compared to the
breast bone I've felt since May. Every 3 weeks they will expand me more. My
drain site is painful today.

I had that experience too, a seroma, the only good thing about it was that I
couldn't feel the needle go in.
I hope you felt better with the fluid out.

I hope it clears up really quickly.

I forgot to mention, the one thing that helped me reduce the chance of
fluid recurring is a surgical binder - a DALE binder which the PS gave
me. It helps to wear it at night.

I felt I could coping with the fluid as long as it was not cancer,
aggravating but not life threatening.

Alex,
I have been wearing a panty girdle since leaving hospital.
My stomach would feel 'lost' without it.Funny enough, my stomach is getting
'squiggy' again with fluid.Thats ok, everything will get sorted in good
time. I am healing well and healthy...thats the main thing.
