Default Questions to ask the Doctors

Everyone,

Tomorrow is our day at Vanderbilt University. We have had the PET
scan, CT scan, ultrasound, mammography, biopsy slides, and all the
reports sent or are taking them with us. My wife is 42 years old with
a 3.2 cm rectangular tumor in her right breast. We have not had a
sentinel node biopsy yet. The pathology report is grave - a 3/3 grade
tumor (aggressive), negative for both hormone recepters and the
protein, and scored a 60 on the KT61 test (the growth rate test where
prognosis is good if <10, borderline 10 to 20, not good if > 20). Our
9 year old is growing more and more suspicious so we have to tell him
tomorrow night, and he's an angel of a child so it will be
heartbreaking.

My question - for those of you who are past where we are - what
questions should we ask the doctors?

Thanks,
Jeff

For a few suggestions take a look at the alt.support.cancer.breast FAQ
at www.cancersupporters.com.

There is also a pretty exhaustive list in the alt.support.cancer FAQ at
the same site.
