Active Surveillance - Update
Steve,
For your database, and for anyone here interested in "active surveillance"
or "watchful waiting" as an option, my PSA reading today was 2.03, down
slightly from three months ago and about where it has been for the past
several years -- since I started on finesteride.
I am of course not advocating active surveillance for guys whose doctors
have determined that surgery or radiation is required. But for many of us
with this normally slow-growing disease, a "wait and see" approach may be a
reasonable choice.
