I am at a loss to figure out your doctor's intentions. In the U.S., the
typical progression of treatment would have been surgery, then radiation,
then
Lupron, then Casodex. I understand why your doctor skipped the
radiation in 2006. With your lymph node involvement it would seem to be a
waste of time. I'm not certain why he is now consulting with a radiotherapy
specialist unless he considers that metastases are likely. In which case,
localized radiation would be one option.
In any case, I think you are lucky that your doctor is consulting with so
many others. I'm sure your treatment will be personalized to you.
