Default Anal Pain

I had a prostatectomy 7 months ago and am still having erectile
problems. The major problem is I have exquisite pain in my anus when
getting aroused. Has anyone else experianced this?

Hello:

Interesting problem. Is the pain occuring at the onset of your
erection, or are you getting the pain whenever you're engaged in
sexual activity?

The reason I ask is that I have had no such pain during sex, but have
not yet regained erections. So, my response might be irrelevant.

Sherlock Holmes would hazard that the obvious answer may just be simple
hemmorroids? Have you had a colonoscopy or seen a tush doc since your
surgery?

I had some similar problems too. It hurt to have an orgasm. I did some
research and this is what I found on the subject. Hope that this helps
answer some of your concerns. It is on a pdf file.
(By the way, it subsides over time. Your mileage may vary.)

Interesting choice of words...

If you're serious, please rephrase and I'll answer.

It's a fairly unusual usage, but appropriate. According to the Online
Medical Dictionary, "exquisite" means:

> Extremely intense, keen, sharp; said of pain or tenderness in a part.

Not when having sex. But I do experience anal pain when I read
anything posted here by I.P. :-)

I can think of a few explanations, ranging from anatomically impossible
to anatomically highly improbable to highly personal . . . all of them
a) irrelevant and b) obvious if existent. ;-)

I have not had anything exquisite anywhere but there are some achey
like pains in various places when sexual stimulation is occurring. I
believe the nerves are confused, for lack of a better word, due to the
surgery and signals go places they didn't use to go. It's possible it
will get better with time.

Is the pain really in the perineal area? What kind of prostatectomy was
performed?

I had a dull pain upon orgasm that I attribute to the pelvic muscles
doing what they always did - squeezing the prostate - but not having
anything to squeeze. I think maybe it causes a spasm. It went away in
time, I assume because the muscles "learned" the new way things were
going to work.

Yeah, I got that. But my antennae go up whenever a new poster asks a
question about sex or genetalia. And, when he said "exquisite" they started
buzzing.

But, you know me. Never want to make an ass of myself jumping in with an
ill-formed opinion. :-)

I thought maybe goshauk was bragging, since "exquisite" sounded sorta
good to me, too. ;-)
