Default Blood in Urine

Was treated for Pca about 15 months ago with seeds & IMRT, last PSA was
0.051
Now age 70, this morning i noticd a red stain on front of underwear,
when i went to urinate, the very start of the stream had small amount
of red blood, rest of the stream was visually clear. looks like
something is going on with the bladder, perhaps a growth ???
Will try to see Urologist on Monday.
When does the nightmare end.

Bob, does it sting when you urinate? Is your temperature at all elevated?

A physician told me not long ago that only two things are supposed to come
out of a man's penis -- and neither of them is blood.

I has a similar experience a couple years ago and ignored it as my wife was
recovering from back surgery at the time. The condition did not "go away";
instead, it continued to worsen. I got weak and my temperature began to
rise, eventually topping out at 104°. A nurse who was attending my wife
learned about my condition (from my wife) and told me if I didn't get myself
to the emergency room immediately she would call an ambulance to take me
there.

I was able to enlist two friends to take me to the hospital where I never
got such a scolding as I'd had since a very small child and ended up staying
in the hospital for two days. The problem was a severe urinary tract
infection and it took some powerful antibiotics to stop it.

When I later asked the doctor how such a thing could happen he told me that
he didn't know. Urinary tract infections are more common among women, but
when it affects a man it's usually much worse.

Make every effort to get that Monday appointment.

Ken, i have no pain, and the temperature is normal. It was a single
event, and the urine appears normal now.

Before Hubby was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago he used to
get uretha (UTI) infections.

I finally got him to drink cranberry juice with splenda in it for
awhile. ( for a couple of months). Just a 8 oz. glass a day.

No more infections for him since.

That's good news indeed, Bob (but don't forget to mention it and ask about
it when you see your doctor next time).
