I just returned from a short trip to Costa Rica only to find 532 new posts
in this newsgroup!

I imagine there are some important and interesting gems among them but I
can't bring myself to read them all.

I'm about to press "Catch-Up" and hope I'm not missing the one message that
would stop this disease in it's tracks.

On another note - an update on my own stats:

Diagnosed mid 2001 PSA 9.6
LRP October 2001 - lousy pathology (+ SV's)
Post LRP PSA = 0.06
Long, slow increase in PSA to 0.36 April 2005
Salvage radiation (38 sessions) - no benefit
PSA continued to rise to 1.6 in March 2007
Start Androgen Deprivation Therapy March 2007
Current PSA (after 10 months of ADT) below the detection limit of 0.05.

Rest easy, Joe. No cancer cure while you were gone and 80% of the
conversation was gut-wrenching to those of us who actually give a damn about
prostate cancer victims.

Thanks but I figure if it still shows up in my newsreader then there is no
need to repost it yet.
