Default Cryotherapy

I've read about this described as SeedNet, where ice crystals are
inserted through small needles to destroy the prostate tissue.
It reads like there are minimal SE, quick recovery, even done under
local anesthesia.
Can it be this good?
Anyone have any info?

Friend at work had this done in Houston three years ago. PSA at 1.1. I will
check with him further.

Where? I find nothing via Google involving this.

Perhaps what is involved is cryosurgery.

On the encyclopedic website of the Prostate Cancer Research Institute
PCRI, it's defined as

"the use of liquid nitrogen probes to freeze a particular organ to
extremely low temperatures to kill the tissue, including any cancerous
tissue; When used to treat prostate cancer, the cryoprobes are guided
by transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)."

If that's what is really meant, see

Ah. "SeedNet" is a trademark for certain cryotherapy equipment.

Well, it is cryotherapy, as I noted upthread.
