The spectacular football field built on a rock is among the most beautiful in the world

The Henningsvaer Stadion is considered one of the most beautiful football fields in the world. Built on a rock in Henningsvaer — a fishing village on the islands Lofoten, Norway — it has no grandstands or other amenities and at the moment would only host amateur youth teams. The stadium is located about 200 km from the Arctic Circle and despite the harsh climate, the synthetic turf manages to remain perfect, thanks to the leveling of the rock layer and the latest generation lighting. The football field has gained great notoriety since the 2000s, when aerial images taken by drones began to spread.

Such a property is the Hotel Arbez Franco Suisse, which you can find in the small village of La Cure, right on the border line that separates France from Switzerland. Since 1862, due to the International Treaty of Dappes, the territory ceased to be entirely French to be equally divided with Switzerland. Today the hotel is run by Alexander Peyron, who inherited it from his family.

Thailand could introduce a fee for tourists: how much it would cost from June

Starting in June 2023, Thailand could introduce a fee for tourists, as announced by Tourism Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, quoted by Bangkok media. According to what has been learned, the date of arrival and not the date of booking the trip may prevail to apply the fee. While waiting for the government to give the final go-ahead, it is known that the fee should be around 9 euros (300 baht) and that it will be applied, presumably, through air tickets. The hypothesis, from what filters from Bangkok, is that the money collected through the payment of the fee goes to cover medical expenses for foreigners involved in accidents or injuries within the country but also to support investments for development in tourist destinations.
