Default hello, and a PSA report

Hello:

I haven't posted for a long time. The fall term here was pretty hectic, as
I was teaching in our Freshman Studies program. A mathematician teaching
about the Spanish conquest of Mexico? Hmmph!

This term will probably be a whirlwind, too, as I'm preparing for the
Australia travel course. I have 24 eager students that I'll have Down
Under for a month.

There's a bit of emotion attached to this for me, as I was in the middle of
the Outback (King's Creek Station) in 2006 when I got the first e-mail
about my elevated PSA. When I left Australia that year, I wasn't sure I'd
ever get back. Of course, I've learned a lot since then, but nevertheless,
this trip will mark one small victory for me over PCa.

I wanted to let the newsgroup historians know about my latest PSA. It
was .02 in December. My uro thinks it's a twitch, and I agree. My test
schedule will now be every six months.

I do lurk, although I haven't been able to keep up the last few weeks.
