    Absolutely. Sweating is sweating.

Various websites say that it does.

How severe is your sweating? Are your sheets and blankets wet?

There are wicking pajamas and bedding that can reduce your discomfort.

Sweating dehydrates regardless of the cause. Whether or not it causes the
physical condition of Dehydration depends on the amount of sweat in relation
to all fluids being taken in and all fluids expelled by other methods.

An interesting aside: My brother sweats like a horse. He can be in a sauna
or air conditioning and he will sweat when exerting energy. However, while
in Saudi Arabia, he only "sweats" in his office or his home. Actually, he
is sweating in the 111 heat, but it's so arid that his skin is dry all the
time. Dehydration is a real threat in those circumstances.

Normal body function also cause dehydration.

The real question is how many ounces of water, not fluids - water, do you
    drink a day?

Enough fluids -- water, other liquids, or the water inherent in fruits
and vegetables -- to keep your urine pale and clear. I -- and doctors --
also watch the skin in the crook of my elbow -- for excessive wrinkling.
A few weeks of comparing that to your urine appearance will
"calibrate" the wrinkles crudely but usably. If I don't have to get up
once each night to pee, I'm probably dehydrated. Even moderate
dehydration degrades physical and mental function -- even harms us -- in
many ways, including in my case producing nocturnal hot (OK, very warm)
flashes. My dehydration warm flashes cost me an hour of sleep unless I
throw back the covers, have the room at or below 60 degrees, and have a
    fan rustling my sheet.

    Headaches? Often induced by dehydration.

    Hangovers? Dehydration.

Kidney stones? Dehydration is a very strong contributor.

    Muscle cramps? Often dehydratoin.

Google dehydration effects, and you will take extra measures to prevent
it. Common causes include sweating, breathing, ANY extra physical
activity, restaurant meals, high altitude, dry air, significant amount
    of alcohol, protein consumption ...
