Alan's the one that kisses guys. NOT me.
And his wish comes true tonight. There better not be any noisy stuff or
it'll be the last time he stays. Jack better not call me "Pops" again
either.
OK - Onco visit.
Another different doctor by the name of Mahmood (Yes - strong accent)
I almost ran out thinking about the tanned skin chappies who tried to blow
up the airport.
Again - No Radiation for bone mets - being kept on 40 mg MST x 2 daily with
20 mg breakthroughs as req'd.
Excuse for no Radio - "Not appropriate or advised in YOUR case" (Hum and
Haw, cough,cough change subject)
I asked about new drug trials - one Aberitarone Acetate and told not
current, which is a LIE. It's in phase 2 I think? at the Royal Marsden in
London, so I'm writing to them directly. Steve Jordan sent me the info
(Thanks Mate)
There was a lot of talk about nothing, a lot of paper shuffling and my
Prozac upped to 3 a day and he put me on 20 mg
Temazepam at night. Bloods
done for PSA, T & DHT One Phlebotomist on duty and it took about an hour of
waiting to be drawn.
Next appt is on 16th October and another different doctor - a Dr Williams
this next time. That's each time, someone different. No wonder I feel like
no-one's really interested and I'm just being fucked about from pillar to
post. Ah well. C'est la Vie! (Or might it be C'est la Morte?)
The bone scan - 3 hours walking about the west end looking for Apricots
(Dont ask) after the injection, then a po-faced operator who just shrugged
after it was done. I'll get the result at the next Onco visit - THREE MONTHS
AWAY which I find amazing. My GP will have the results of the bloods end of
next week (27th)
That's about it. Very exciting (not)
Oh - because I was having a real wet hot flush during the consult, Onco gave
me a free box of Kleenex. Great. Happy as Larry now with my free box of
Hankies.
