Default It's Not That Bad

Hi Folks,
I just returned home from FL where my younger (4 years), brother recently
passed away from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). This guy maintained an attitude
right to the end, that was amazing. He knew from the time of diagnosis, what
the prognosis was, and yet insisted that his two sons complete their
educational goals, rather than be there as nursing assistants, which they
gladly did, and helped with the chores that we like to forget or pass on to
some-one else.

The bottom line (to me) seems to be "Keep Fighting The Disease", You might
not have won, but then again, you might.have

Tom

An excellent reminder, Tom. Life should not be measured in length, but what
you did with it between 12 years (or so) and when you died.

It sounds like your brother lived a full life though truncated by time. My
sympathies for your loss and congratulations for whatever influence you had
on him in that regard.
