Default Low Testosterone and recovery of erections

Anyone on here had/have low testosterone, and an RP?

How long did it take to recover erectile function? What were the
hurdles along the way?

I tried 50mg of viagra on the two week anniversary of the surgery.
NADA. Nothing. Zilch.

That's awfully soon, even with high testosterone. I was 6 months before I
finally responded to 100 mg. Since I was 62 at the time, I assume that my
testosterone was---age-related---fairly low. Many in this forum have taken
longer.

Has anyone had experience with the injectables? Do they take as
long? I'd just sort of like some indications that I'm still in the
game. I know natural response will take a while.

Be sure to take Viagra on an empty stomach. Also, it will likely take
6-18 mos of attempts for major improvement as your blood vessels
recover. My Dr. told me to try the whole 100mg if I need it,
otherwise cut it in half.

I recall reading somewhere that letting Viagra dissolve under your
tongue eliminates the need for taking it on an empty stomach. I never
tried this and I would be concerned about possible skin irritation
under the tongue but has anyone else heard/tried this or has anyone's
doctor suggested it?

I tried it once---with a quarter of a 100 mg tablet. It's terribly bitter.
I don't think I could stand waiting for any more than that to dissolve. In
fact, the quarter tablet was so unpleasant that I never tried it again.
