Default More for Steve's database

It has been awhile since I've posted.
Diagnosed in Mar 03, Gleason 7 (3-4) PSA 5.71
RRP May 03
Positive Margins and SV involvement
Path reports Gleason of 6 (3-3)

PSA increases over the next couple of months -
Last pad used Oct 03.
Enter CALGB Phase III trial - Metaxantrone, Prednisone for 4 months, Zoladex
and Casodex for 24 Months.
PSA goes to 0.003 ng/ml
Testosterone goes to 20 - gains 40 pounds and "man-boobs", loss of energy,
focus, etc.
End Trial Sep 05 - PSA 0.003

Sep 06 - PSA 0.013
Mar 07 - PSA 0.030
Sep 07 - PSA 0.210

Appointment scheduled 11SEP for further info.

Probable course -
Follow-up PSA in Nov 07 - if PSA increased likely go for radiation.

Pray for the best, Plan for the worst, live with what you get.

Sorry about the rising PSAs, Dan. I forget why you chose the trial instead
of radiation in the first place. You were an excellent candidate for SRT.
