Default My rare visit

Hi Everyone -- and particularly Steve Kramer (whose name is the only one I
recognise from my time!)

As I've said on earlier visits I don't pop in often because I haven't kept
up with the advances in treatments.

I like to pop in now and then to be able to say that there definitely can be
a light at the end of the tunnel for some of us. In October 2000 I was
diagnosed with extensive PCa stage 2 with s Gleeson of 3 (don't remember the
rest of the stats). I opted for RRP, and recently had a PSA of 0.0.

While my doctor says I can probably start to use the word "cured", I still
prefer to consider that a long-term and perhaps unlikely goal. But, that
said, my life has been great (apart from the not uncommon (for that time)
erectile dysfunction. That, I learned to live with.

Hopefully, my experience might encourage others.

PSA 4.8, Stage T1c before surgery, I guess T2 after. Gleason 3+3=6. And a
young man of 60 at the time.

That is truly a wonderful sentence to read.
