I just heard that a new prostate cancer detection tool is being tested
by Proteome Systems in collaboration with a Sydney cancer center. The
test is based on semen analysis for HCA (human carcinoma antigen).
This is an interesting and seemed like a sensible approach detecting
cancerous cells since 40 percent of semen is sourced by the prostate.
We'll se how this test will compare to the EPCA-2 being studied by JHU
reserachers.
