    Default nocturia revisited

When I first brought this up, my uro had prescribed Toviaz 4 mg. This
did nothing except cause some constipation and dry mouth. This was
upped to 8 mg which caused a lot of constipation and dry mouth but did
little to correct the problem. I stopped the Toviaz. He recently sent
me some Vesicare which I haven't tried yet. Instead, I moved my salad
(cucumber, broccoli and tomato) from my supper to my lunch. I also
stopped the dried prunes after supper. I take a Naproxen with my
supper. Also, I switched my morning coffee from decaf to regular. The
nocturia symptoms have been greatly reduced. Instead of getting up
three times a night, it is now one or two times. This is acceptable.

    Default Re: nocturia revisited

I swapped supper and breakfast 100% decades ago. It solved many
problems, including some I didn't even know I had. For example, protein
at night can interfere with sleep both directly and through generating
    more urine output.

I also had the same results as you from nocturia meds. I'd rather get up
to pee than clog up my posterior plumbing.

Be very careful with those NSAIDS (the Naproxen). They are not benign,
and are outright dangerous for millions of people for several
    well-documented medical reasons.
