Default Closing of Clinical Trial - Need help to find out why

I have been informed that the Clinical Trial TAX 3501 has been closed
at all locations. This is a rather abrupt and premature termination of
the Trial. The Trial's basic purpose was to explore the simultaneous
administration of Eligard and Taxotere. The potential for significant
information useful to many of us was significant.

I have been unable to find out why this trial was closed. No one seems
willing to talk about it!

Does anyone have any conections which could be used to find out the
reason for closing?

The Trial was entitled: XRP6976J/3501. ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier:
NCT00283062 The ClinicalTrials.gov website lists this trial as ongoing
but not recruiting - apparently they have not received word of its
closing.

Any leads at all would be appreciated!

Shortly after posting this, I have received information from two
sources that the Trial was accruing too slowly and was closed for that
reason

Apparently there is some hope for results from those who participated
- - - I would be interested to know if any of those results have yet
been published - even in a preliminary fashion. I would especially be
interested to know of any significant adverse side affects.

While Eligard is an incarnation of an older drug for which there is a
long record, I cannot see any value of this type of study and I guess
a lot of others thought the same.

Taxotere with either surgery or radiation would be new and
interesting.
