Default Sex after Surgery and Radiation

I didn't even know this site existed until today. I wish I had know
for the last 11 years. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at age 50.
I had a Radical and 5 years later my PSA jumped. I had Radiation, a
most miserable experience. Prior to radiation I had problems with
erection, however, was somewhat successful. Post radiation I had
nothing. I have tried all the usual pills, injections, Vacuum Pump.
Nothing even remotely acceptable. I am now getting desparate and am
considering penal implant surgery. Honestly, I a scared to death. I
have read all the literature and conflicting results and none of this
helps. Can anyone on the site give me first hand information. I am
looking for someone who has had the procedure, positive or negative.
Any information is better than none.

Thanks

I've seen more than 900 men (and wives) come and go here, John, and can
count on one hand the number who have gone the penile implant route.
Unfortunately, the one who reported his success informed us the implant was
botched.

I would really love to hear from people who had success, but I guess they're
too busy testing it. :-)

Salvage Radiation Therapy (SRT) has a wide reach in the prostate bed
and further damage the erection nerve bundles. Because of this, pills
will likely have no effect in your situation as they need the nerves
to convey their "message".

But injections should continue producing results. What are exactly the
results you get with injections?

I have had SRT and use injections - and I get erections like an 18
year old...

Great news, David. I hope you and Joan are celebrating to the proper
degree.
