Default Stairs after RP

New to group. Will have a RP May 30.Still trying to get my head and
emotions around the whole idea! I live in a multi-story home. What
long has it been for others to climb stairs?

I had a longer recovery than most and was in a lot of pain (maybe
cause I had 2 lymph nodes removed) BUT I didn't have any trouble
climbing stairs...did it on the second day home. That was 4 months
ago and now I work out with weights every day and walk a mile a day
ont he treadmill.

Getting in and out of a chair will be problematic for a few days as
will getting out of bed but stairs will not be a problem. This of
course assumes stairs were not a problem before surgery. Just be
careful to not trip over or step on your catheter tube and you'll be
fine.

I live in a two-story house with the bedrooms upstairs. Wasn't a problem at
all.

Sorry to have you join the club, Carl.

I was surprised to find that I had no problem with stairs even though I was
hauling around 300 pounds.
