Update
Well, saw the urologist this week for my annual exam. PSA was 0.02. Last
year it was 0.03. I told them I wanted to discontinue the PSA tests because
of my age (74). The uro talked me out of it with the description of how
unpleasant a death from PCa that has spread to the bones can be. He said
the tumor was right up against the margins, and therefore there is the
possibility the cancer is still around and can come back. I don't figure
that's very likely, but no harm in at least having one more PSA test. I'll
decide again next year.

Re: Update
Given that PSA tests are cheap or free, are painless, and may help us
avert or delay the onset of painful symptoms, what's to be gained by
stopping? At least if the test spots a recurrence, we can try ADT and
make an informed choice whether to continue it.

Re: Update
Assuming it was <0.02, that's a damned sight better than 0.10 that I quoted
earlier in a post. I'm in your corner on this one. The only way to count
your PSAD is by PSAH (PSA halving) time :-)
Maybe you should make an appointment for 1½ years.
