Default Cancer care - Nova Scotia

http://www.cancercare.ns.ca/
See section "Patients and Families" for

1) The Sunshine Room - A comfortable, supportive area where people
undergoing cancer treatments can be introduced to Massage Therapy,
Therapeutic Touch and Reflexology. Head wraps are also available. These
services are provided free of charge by trained Volunteers.

2) Professionally Led Support Group Programs

My father went in here and had a wonderful massage on his neck.

That's good to hear, Lynn.
Do they advise patients ? Or was it because of my post?
(there seemed to be a few Canadians posting at the time, so I posted a few
links, but don't want to be too repetitive.

I;ll be thinking of you, so please let us know it's going.

Yes, he received a booklet of what to expect etc, along with infomation on
the Sunshine room. Also I want to say about the lodge is is staying at "the
lodge that gives". what a wonderful place. he has to stay in the city all
week and it was getting really expensive even with just paying for meals. he
gets to meet other cancer patients in a family home setting and he feels at
ease there. he is even getting, his words,"a new age reekee massage tonight"
I know spelling isn't even close to being right.

Please keep mentioning any places that could help even if it seems like you
are repeating yourself. not everyone knows what is available.

Okay, Boss.
But not as frequently, since there's probably more Americans reading here, at
any given time.
It does sound like a wonderful resource. Thanks for the details, Lynn.
