mental illness.
How much success have you had in your country, by treating cancer sufferers
as if they were mad?

Doesn't matter if they are treated as mad or not - the treatment is
lacking anyway.
If you're not mad when you get the disease, you are by the time you've
finished trying to get it treated! |

I think he means they get mad when they can't get the treatment. RH

My guess is that cancer has several causes.
Some due to chemicals etc. Some mental or stress related. Some
genetic. Some due to deterioration with age. |

That is entirely different from saying cancer sufferers are mad of
course. Lots of ailments are brought on by stress and plenty of people
have postulated that some cancer might be included or it might be a
factor increasing predisposition.
Am I saying anything anyone disagrees with? |

he said is what you say. |

It's not a matter of what anyone agrees with (or not), it's a matter of
what can be proved. Stress is a factor in cardiovascular and digestive
system ailments, it affects your immune system and thus probably does
increase your risk of cancer. Stressed out people don't look after
themselves as as well as they might. They eat and drink stuff that can
increase your risks. But the problem with actually linking the two is that
the cancer might be in your body for years before you're actually
diagnosed. Also, once you've been diagnosed with cancer your recollections
of the stress you were under at any particular time can be distorted.
We do know that people who get treatment for stress after being diagnosed
with cancer do live longer. We also know that people who are stressed
suffer more relapses of cancer than people who aren't stressed. |

Find nothing to disagree with. Prrof is difficult because there are so
many possible factors. |

Popular with his own bank manager, writers of cheap tabloid headlines and
haters of the original Labour Party (of Jim Callaghan, etc.)?
Davies owns four business, mostly called Pure something or other, like
Croydon (not Swansea) based Pure Crete, and still had to claim more
expenses than less wealthy Members of Parliament. Can you remind me what
avarice means?
Apparently Davies cried when Croydon Central's voters removed him at the
2005 election.
