This will be an unusual question, but if anyone can help...
My symptoms started over the summer. At first, I underwent some pain in
urination whenever I drank a couple of large glasses of raspberry ice tea. I
assumed the caffeine might be causing me problems, and became a bit more
temperate in my consumption. But once, after drinking a glass of water
during breakfast, I had extreme pain in my bladder that was so bad I doubled
over. It passed after a few minutes.
The more troubling symptoms have begun in the past few weeks after having my
gall bladder out. (Don't know if that relates to this.) In the weeks since, I
frequently pass gas through the urethra. It's like when the stream is done or
near done, my bladder (or something in that area) seems to growl like a
stomach growling, and air or gas comes out the urethra. I asked a relative
who's a nurse, and she hadn't heard of this before. A lot of research on the
internet turned up nothing but a brief note at Merck's web site that this
could be anything from bacteria in the urine, to cancer that's caused a
fistula between the bladder and intestines.
My doctor can't see me for a week, but for now I'm wondering how serious this
could be. Has anyone encountered these sorts of symptoms before? Any info
appreciated.
