you know that's absolutely fascinating, but why didn't you post it to
sci.med.diseases.cancer ? How is it relevant here? Not long ago I posted an
article about a new treatment for melanoma and you told me this wasn't the
appropriate forum, this forum was for support and support only. Can we
clear this up? Is this group only for support, or are those just the rules
for everyone else and not you?

I and others, sometimes post general cancer information from reasonably
credible websites.
And that is what I posted.

You came in,new, no introduction, posting a news article about a medicine in
clinical trial.
Trolls/crossposters do that.

One of the rules reads:
"If it's more about medicine, than support, post it to sci.med.diseases.cancer
instead"
(so that's what I replied to you)

I also told you, after you clarified that you were starting the trial "Sure you
can be here for support, but posts/news announcements about medicines go on
sci.med.diseases.cancer, else "everyone and their cousin" will flood this
newsgroup - there's so many medicines..."

There are probably 100's of thousands clinical trials. If many people did what
you did, this newsgroup would be more about medicines than support. Hence; post
it to sci.med.diseases.cancer instead.
That way, if someone posts about a medicine (there), someone else can add more
info to the post and/or comment about it. Others, from other cancer or other
newsgroups, watch for such posts on sci.med.diseases.cancer.
Most others, from other newsgroups, are now accustomed (read: trained) to post
about medicines to sci.med.diseases.cancer instead. In that way, there are less
duplications of posts about medicines AND less disruptions of this newsgroup
(of news items or PubMeds, or clinical trial results about medicines).
In addition, (posts about) experimental or sales pitchers or alternative
medicines also are directed to sci.med.diseases.cancer. That way, if arguments
and/or name-calling ensues, it can happen over there without disrupting this
newsgroup. This has been a mostly working arrangement for some years now.

If you or someone else posts "Hi, I'm from XXX (insert country) and have (XXXX
type and stage of cancer) and I'm currently on XXXXX (medicine(s) and looking
for others who are or have been taking the same and/or looking to spend time
here with you all", that would have been appropriate here.

I hope you understand?
J

I'm sorry. I have been mistakenly under the notion that this was a forum to
people to support each other when they had cancer. I have seen this support
from everybody but you, who seem to try to be important and criticize the
general purpose. If we can't have it your way, we have to withstand your
ridiculous barrages. Get back on your medications.

Grateful to be back.

If you continue to make false insinuations such as get back on your
meds or about my place of employment, you have crossed the line. My
only recourse will be to have my legal team write you.

Yes this is a place for support for cancer patients which I am one.
( fact).

This is a newsgroup where anyone can post anything except when one
make false statements. You are dealing with cancer, you never say a
positive thing which is your right, but it has to be truthful our wise
pay the consquences.

Ahem!
You just told us you don't get your support fron internet groups. Jun 11
You just posted (May 7th) to the breast cancer newsgroup that "I think Americans are
nuts"
(in reference to lawsuits)
Your DCIS was 10 years ago.

Eddie's kidney cancer is much more recent and more serious.
He's also had his share of losses and disappointments.
He's a giving person of his time. (volunteer)

Somebody said you're nobody special (here) and that is true.
Insinuations, false statements, you've made lots of those yourself.
If you don't want comments about your hospital, quit mentioning it.
You're a braggert and a brown-noser.
When that didn't work, you attacked Mike R, and Steph and me.
You've been nothing but trouble since you came here 3 years ago.
(except some help with US insurance issues).
Some people may miss your underhanded passive-aggressive jabs at me, but others
don't.

It takes a thick skin to be on newsgroups.
Eddie calls it like he sees it.
I went back up his posts for one year (under both names) and he's provided some
pretty funny one-liners.

I would suggest that you enjoy your vacation and give this lawsuit idea some
thought. After all, it seems like this is a newsgroup you don't need and don't care
about, since you think crossposting is ok. you've never seen it at its worst and/or
you're an expert at plonkdom, which isn't the case with others, so I'll be here
caring and continuing to remind people when they make mistakes.
J
PS The FAQ that you don't want changed says "Trim cross-post groups from your
replies."

A. I am not on vacation and I am not working and working very hard
B. I am not going to compare illnesses but I am going for major n
cancer surgery in a few weeks,
C. Look up the word Libel, I have called it like I see it , I have
never broken the law, Edddie has and if he continues he will pay the
price.
D. I will let the judge decide. Unfortunately for him he has to live
under US laws.

Eddie keep it up and we will deal with this off line through the court
system.

Unfortunately that is your opinion and not against the law, I since
you don't have cancer and don't participate as any caregiver I don't
know why you are here.

This is your opinion and you have every right to express it, Eddie
makes libelous statements,

I am not on vacation, don't know where you got that idea, I said I was
traveling big difference,

Yes, I will defer to my lawyer but he seems it is pretty clear that
eddie has crossed the line. In cases like this I find having an
unemotional third party best to evaluate the situation.

I am still ungoing cancer treatment and scheduled for major surgery in
July, I would never post the details here since I don't need any
advice from people like you.

J's google skills are slipping I find my first post here in 1997 do
the math 10 years.

Brother Alex,

I am very sorry to hear of (a recurrence ?) and that you are facing surgery.
I do hope you can find support here, and peace of mind, as well.

I doubt you ever worked a 16 hour day in your life. You have way too much
time on your hands snipping at every statement made on this group. You offer
so little support, I wonder what the reason is that makes you come here.
Yopu apparently have no social life. You say you work in a hospital. Bet
you're a volunteer there?
Not intelligent enough to do much more. Maybe, Central Supply, maybe.
Move on to another group. You are becoming very boring.

I appreciate your thoughts. But I will have libel statements made against
me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slander_and_libel

Eddie can be a man an apologize or pay the consequences. The more he commits
libel the bette case I have. There are limits and he crossed the line.

His choice.

I don't think you can sue anyone because of what happened on usenet. To do
that you'd have to prove that both the person and the forum have
credibility. It has been done before, on a newsgroup where everyone was a
professional and the forum was about their chosen professional field. But
libel in a group like this? rofl. Nobody in here has any credibility.

Oops, will I get sued for saying that? You better be quick. I might not be
around long enough for you to get your day in court.

Can we please go back to what this group is meant for and stop the petty
bickering?

Thanks.

Hypothetically, would you be happy if a poster said for you to stop

I have a live email address. I would be happy to send you my
schedule. I have 2 kids and a husband of 30 years. There is nothng
wrong with central supply essential part of the hospital but I have
never worked there. I don't volunteer for the hospital but in the
community on several different issues, last thing I have been asked
to do to train as a first responder to disaster.

That is nice to hear. I am not interested in your schedule at all. I will be
very careful When visiting Beantown, to steer clear of any dangerous
situations. I sure cannot imagine you rendering care to anyone outside your
family.

The don't question a 16 hour day that turned into a 26 hour day of
work.

Better move out of the USA... since it is a national response team,
Canada would be a nice place for you.

Yeah, that was part of my non breast cancer.....cancer surgery I had
last week. According to my oncologist, breast cancer is not my primary
cancer issue. For reasons, I have choosen not post details about my
new cancer issues here, although I have shared them with others off
the board.

I though this group had decided it was rude to repost posting from
other boards, I had posted that to the breast cancer group to a
posting that was about annual mammogram.

But if you want to talk about mammograms- how did yours check out?
Hope it was clear as mine.

One reason I choose to go to the community hospital for tests is the
radiologist gives you the results immediately.....go or bad. Do others
find out their results immediately after their tests? I find this
results in less anxiety even when the results are less then great.

Is that what happens when your Uncle has had his tests? Do you
discuss with the radiologist the results ? Does he pulll up the
screens on the computer and explain the results. Are you included in
the family meetings? Is his cancer team open to your research and
suggestions?

Cancer the gift that keeps giving. Alex

10 years later. You're nuts, unless it's for brain fog, osteopenia, perimenopausal
issues.
You've shared about your (previous) chemo, 10 years ago, on the breast cancer
newsgroup, but none of the above.
Strange - innit? Strange that you wouldn't be sharing with the others on the group.
Also would be helpful to them, if it was a clinical trial.
Nothing to be ashamed of; no reason not to publicly share on the breast cancer
newsgroup, but you didn't.
Sorry, I don't believe you, unless a longterm clinical trial, in which case (see
above about sharing).

Oh, good.
My guess is prophylactic mastectomy of the one that did not have cancer,
and rebuild with implant.
(to prevent local recurrence) - a wish expressed by you Jan 31 2004
Get ti done before you get too old.
Revision of the other (surery/breast) and a tummy tuck. In shape for
Florida. Still going this month?

Or removal of a polyp - you alluded to one, some time ago.
Or hysterectomy - female issues.

Sorry, I don't believe you.
1) surgery report
2) pathology report
If you wish to prove, you know where to send them - one time only email -
