cigarette smoke does NOT contain carbon "monoxide"

it contains carbon DIOXIDE, which IS what is exuded from car exhaust, and
IS toxic in car exhaust, but not from cigarette tobacco.

technically, in true "human", cigarettes do NOT cause cancer.

they do in dog, cow, or rodent mutants.

There is plenty of carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke, and car exhaust
CO2 is not toxic
