Default Circumin Therapy for Myeloma.

Last Year the MD Anderson Cancer Research Centre
at the U. of Texas ran pilot trials on circumin therapy
for Myeloma.
A patient who had been diagnosed with MGUS in 1999
and with MM in late December 2005 commenced the
initial 8-week protocol at the end of which IgG levels
had decreased by almost 20%.
By the end of last year this had drop had increased to
almost 30% .A bone marrow biopsy earlier this month
shows a 40 percent neoplastic proliferation, which is a 20%
reduction.
The only side effect reported was a reduction in (high)
cholesterol by more than 50mg/dL.
Circumin is an ingredient of turmeric, a natural spice
widely used in Indian cookery. It has also been
a therapy in Ayurvedic medicine for many centuries.
MD Anderson is a Cancer Research Centre of world renown.
