Default Ends!!

Hi support gang,
Well, yesterday was a big day for me- I finished my rads!! 39 of them!
Now looking forward to improving my mouth/throat condition which has
enough number of blisters and soreness. Then of course, the salivation
bit which is zilch...........the road to recovery/resurrection starts!
Thanks for all the support/help/advices, etc. etc.....

Sam

Congratulations Sam !!!

I had a similar # of rad treatments and was left in a similar
condition as you currently are. At the end of August that will be two
years. I found that at the end of treatment I experienced an
approximate 2 week euphoria that was delightful. However, subsequent
to that I became depressed for about 6 weeks. I like to think of it
now as post partum depression. After all, I had been in the womb of
constant care and concern for 8 weeks with professionals that were
focused on me like I had never experienced and "everybody" was worried
about me. And now it was over and getting back to normal, or rather
what became new normal, was daunting especially since it didn't happen
as fast as I thought it would. After these weeks of the blues my MO
kicked me out of it with a prescription of exercise. Yup, that's what
did it for me. And it was fast. So, if you find that you are not
responding the way you think you ought to, take a walk. Needless to
say you should check with your Dr.'s about exercising just to be
safe. So, Sam, you am the man. Again, congratulations and remember
we are all in this together. ipunty
