Husband and Mom with Cancer- Update

Husband update, diagnosed with Colon Cancer with Mets to both lungs and
lymph nodes in trunk of body. Had Cat Scan Monday at 1 PM. Received call
from Dr. at 3 PM. Wanted him into their place immediately. Scan showed a
blood clot near the neck on the left side in a small vein going to his brain
and wanted to give him a shot. He has to have the shots in his stomach. Also
called in prescription for cumidin 5 mg. He has to have a shot every day
through the 16 of this month plus take a cumidin daily. Received his chemo
Wednesday but withheld Avastin for this treatment only and she is doing a
protime every 3 days to check thinner in his blood. The best news was tumors
not growing which with no cure the best we can hope for. Mom with liver
cancer went for a scan today and saw Dr. Had her get blood work yesterday
per Dr. order. Had to have more today because not all of the tests were done
or ordered yesterday. Scan shows that the middle lobe has a tumor that is
growing so he is recommending treating it with the pellets. The Dr. that she
normally sees was out of town today so it will probably be Monday before he
calls. This Dr. didn't seem to be concerned about the other Dr. 6 weeks ago
saying he didn't know if it was tumors starting to grow or shadows on the
lobe that was treated in January. Really don't know why they didn't
reschedule the scan until her regular Dr. was there. Been a bad week where
Drs. are concerned. Will update more when I find out anything.
